Marlie - Turned ONE

Miss Marlie turned ONE recently!  The family came to the Nook for a Cake Smash session.   We started out with the Milk Bath part of the session and Miss Marlie was NOT impressed at first!   She was shaking her head "NO" and giving me a little "mean mug" action.  Even her "mean mug" was adorable!   She is a beautiful baby and I kept thinking she reminded me of a Kewpie Doll!  

She eventually warmed up to the Milk Bath and started giving us lots of cute smiles!  She lights up when she sees her Mommy and Daddy.  We even facetimed her MawMaw to get some smiles!  

We ended with the Cake Smash portion of the session.  She dug right in on this one!  The girl LOVES her cake!!!  I love capturing this stage for little ones!  The pics are some of my favorite when they have icing all over their face and hands!  

Some babies really dig in during a Cake Smash and others can shy away at the mess all over their hands and face.   No matter what the reaction, it is still one of my favorite sessions with little ones!
